The President of the United States might have had quite a different career path in a different life: a singer. Barack Obama and the White House held a special celebration honoring American Blues on February 21 in an event entitled “Red, White, and Blues.” The event hosted a bucket list of legendary blues performers that included B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Mick Jagger, Trombone Shorty, and Jeff Beck among others. As the group parlayed into a rousing cut of “Sweet Home Chicago,” the former Illinois Senator was handed a mic and coaxed into singing a couple bars of the blues classic.
