[CONCERT REVIEW] Deep Dish Secret Shows Surpasses All Expectations

Fans of legendary DJ duo Deep Dish were in for a treat on Saturday night as the Washington D.C.-based duo graced the decks at one of Chicago’s top dance music venues, The MID. The amazing twosome composed of Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi took fans, old and new alike, on an eclectic musical journey that consisted of three new songs including new single “Quincy” (out March 17th), classic remixes such as Delerium’s “Innocente” and De’Lacy’s “Hideaway,” and their own hits “Say Hello” and “Flashdance.”

The performance which was unannounced until the very last day was very well received by the diverse crowd that was comprised of avid fans of the duo, Chicago nightlife regulars and legends alike. Although, the Grammy winning producers have not played together since 2006, judging by their set, they did not miss a beat. Their incredible ability to create a distinct mood and engage the crowd through a carefully selected playlist of progressive house and techno anthems was nothing short of a brilliant display of real mastery. For those fortunate to be present one thing was certain: the long overdue reunion was written in the stars!
