It’s my life, but I couldn’t let anyone in it even if I tried. I’m always the asshole, the one bad link in a daisy chain that grows arms and starts cutting at all the linkages to his left and right until he’s blowing around in the wind. I don’t really care if I survive, I know linked I’m stronger. And I know when I bust free everyone else’s life shreds, gets cut into chaos. Until they’re tied back together, my face forgotten.

The irony of solitude is not lost on me; but it’s the only time I’m calm. I flirt with the idea of wrapping my legs around a passerby heart. You know, dating that motherfucker. In an afternoon nap, the sun shines on my heart and it leaves me with a lingering lust for afternoon delight loving, not fucking. So I pull out my music, and I pore over every note that’s supposed to take me there to freedom; but music, it pulls me tyrannically. Sometimes I sit here on God’s Bathroom Floor and trace the veins on my arm, staring out the window and songs like this Little Daylight track lilt into my brain and smack me back down to Earth. And I hear these lyrics and I can see all the freedom floating around me, licking its lips to catch my attention. And I’m completely at a loss.
