Seemingly unknown in the electronic music world, DJ/Producer Dakar’s tracks have been played few and far between at clubs and festivals, save for an appearance on the Soundcloud account ‘This ain’t Bristol’, where he released his track ‘Your Bass.’ However, his track ‘Woobly’ is about to turn a few heads.

The first time I listened to this track I thought, “This is deep.” The second time I put on some production level headphones and took a listen and thought, “Fuck, this is really deep!” It’s the type of groove that makes you want to get up out of bed and hit the club on a Monday night. That bass line just doesn’t quit!

Dakar’s ‘Woobly’ was released on Claude Vonstroke’s record label Dirtybird, and he certainly lives up to the labels’ expectation of funky, deep, and rhythmic basslines. PSA, the bass in this track isn’t necessarily evident to your ears unless you’ve got some truly good headphones or speakers. I highly recommend listening to this on a system with some bass packed in it. You’re gonna want to call your friend with the 22 inch subwoofer in their car and go to town listening to this track. In this way, Dakar follows in the footsteps of many artists that have released material on Dirtybird such as Aralan, Billy Kenny, Bruno Farlan, and many more. As with all of these guys, I am expecting Dakar to come out with some truly funky shit in the next year to come.
