I can say that I wholeheartedly did not see this sound coming out of the German DJ/producer known as TheFatRat. Usually known for his upbeat house melodies, “Splinter” sees ze German rat taking a darker, more bass heavy approach that you could file under the category of dubstep. The different approach could be due to the fact that “Splinter” is his first release on the renown Spinnin’ Records, or it could be that he was just trying something new. Either way, put the Tron fight scene on with this track and you got one cool visual sequence (Sorry Daft Punk fans!). Enjoy below.
