Long haired, electro madman Steve Aoki has teamed up with none other than punk legend, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo to bang out this awesome electro-inspired/punp-pop track, “Earthquakey People (The Sequel)”. The song will be a part of Aoki’s in-progress album entitled, Wonderland, due out around Christmas.

“Earthquakey People” has almost everything you would expect to hear from Aoki; killer synth work and a driving beat, but no outrageous howling from Steve himself. Rather, Rivers Cuomo lends his punk-pop voice to the mix, singing, “I’ll still keep on dancing.” The song is actually quite catchy, but I find Rivers’ half-rap verses a little weird; almost too close to 3OH3!. Check it out for yourself and make sure you keep Weezer in your prayers as they mourn the loss of former Bass player Mikey Welsh, who passed away last weekend while in Chicago to see Weezer perform at Riot Fest. RIP.
