As the weekend nears, Chicago prepares for the return of the city’s prized peach, Mamby On The Beach. With last year’s inaugural Mamby weekend being the critically acclaimed hit of the Summer, House Heads and Techno Goths have been drooling over this lineup for months now, and rightfully so. I mean honestly, never have I witnessed so much good music on one flyer. While the festival maintains its House oriented music vibe there is still some variety if you want to escape that four on the floor fabulousness. This genre targeted festival style helps to maintain the reputation of being a bit more mature and a little less plur, but what I find most exciting is the increased presence of The BAM Creates crew leading the production team. They have been given full control of the festival’s vibe and an increased budget to match. Last year people raved about the layout and setup of Mamby for weeks and weeks, so naturally, I am very excited to see what this talented production team has in store for us this year.

While we often all are more than aware of the headliners, we at The Sights And Sounds like to make sure the reader or festival goer is properly prepared to support that local Chicago flavor. So I have put together a little playlist of the newest music by the local acts this year below. Each one is a very talented artist who has been making waves in the Chicago Music Scene. It is this crew that will given the responsibility to set the vibe for each stage for the whole day. Check out their tunes, their brand, their artistry because its the local squad that really puts in the time to make a difference in the scene, those who have already made it, often don’t want things to change.  Share and play the local setlist below, also, be sure to grab tickets HERE and find out what all this Mamby fuss is all about.
