[FESTIVAL NEWS] Hangout Music Festival Announces 2014 Performance Schedule

By far one of the better music festival experiences I had last year came from the laid back beaches of Gulf Shore, Alabama during the annual Hangout Music Festival. The sun, the sand and the music all combine for an amazing event that is hard to compare to any other festival out there. With an eclectic lineup that is sure to please music lovers of all genres, Hangout looks to make it’s 5th year on the sand even bigger.

The festival, which will take place on May 16-18, has just announced it’s daily schedule for it’s three exciting days of sonic revelry, lining up some of the top talent in music today on six massive stages. The Black Keys (in their only US festival of 2014) will headline Friday night while The Killers will close out Saturday. On Sunday, fans will be treated to two headline performances: Jack Johnson will perform a magical set on the Chevrolet Stage at sunset and Outkast will immediately follow on the Hangout Stage to close out the weekend.

More special moments will include Amos Lee performing with a gospel choir, Alabama’s very own soul rockers St. Paul and the Broken Bones return to close out the BMI Stage on Sunday and Moon Taxi will perform a Rage Against the Machine set under the name ‘People of the Sun’ on the Red Bull Sound Select Stage. This year also brings the addition of more music after sunset with performances in the Boom Boom Tent by STS9 on Friday night and a much anticipated nighttime performance by Pretty Lights on Saturday.

Fans who haven’t purchased their tickets can still do so via Hangout Music Festival’s official site.
