Held in a historic post office building in the heart of Houston, TX, Day For Night will be returning in just two short days. In the words of The Department of Dance, Day for Night is “The festival of the future”. Providing a space where visual artists meet musicians, festival-goers are immersed into an environment consisting of interactive art installations and live music.
With world-renowned artists like Björk, United Visual Artists, Tundra, Shoplifter, and Ezra Miller, the installations will captivate and engage festival-goers visually and physically.
Accompanying the art, musicians of all genres will unite to perform under the same roof. Musical artists include ODESZA, Aphex Twin, Travis Scott, Tycho, Blood Orange, Tobacco, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Clams Casino and many more. Experimental electronic, hip-hop, indie rock, and alternative sounds will fill the air as attendees dance, interact, and experience the beauty of art.
So, with Day for Night kicking off on Saturday (and for a few on Friday), I’ve arranged a short and sweet playlist to get you ready for the weekend. Take a listen below, and I’ll see you at the post office!
