There aren’t many artists more synonymous with dubstep than Flux Pavilion & Doctor P.

The Circus Records artists were some of the most important innovators of the dubstep/brostep scene a few years ago with well known songs like “I Can’t Stop,” “Gold Dust,” “Tetris,” and “Big Boss.” Although they might not be the heavy hitters that they once were, both have stayed relevant throughout the years. However, after having so many huge hits that are still being played out today, it seems like they’ve stayed relatively quiet.

Recently, the two DJ/producers took their fans by surprise and released an unannounced three song EP. It may not sound exactly how you expect; they’ve done a good job of revamping their sound a bit and staying with the trends in 2016. Although they’ve had some remixes together throughout the years, this is the first time they’ve worked with each other on this big of a project.

Putting together two massively talented artists like this definitely garners high expectations. I think Flux and Doctor P did a great job on this release; it’s not exactly groundbreaking, but all three tracks are equally energetic, and fans of the genre will surely be pleased. A collaboration by some of dubstep’s best is exactly what my music library needed.
