[GOODSEX TIPS] How Chicago’s Nightlife Industry Won Back Sunday Night

For as long as I can remember, Sunday night has been the time when the nightlife industry, who slave all weekend for the betterment of Chicago’s delinquent generation of alcoholics, finally get a chance to cut loose and do weird stuff with their friends. Frequently starting at homie hot spots such as LA Social, Mason Gastro Pub or El Hefe, this tight knit group meets up around 10-11 at Bull & Bear. The energy at this point is palpable as everyday bar patrons are replaced with friendly and familiar faces. Jameson flows from the tables like the Rio Grande River, carving out memories as black outs begin to take hold.

It was at this point in the night where things started to go astray. While this mass of workers was able to coordinate the seemingly impossible task of all agreeing on one location to meet at, it always fell apart after Bull & Bear. You see, there are only a few late night Sunday spots in the area. Many chose to go to The Underground but this douchebag breeding ground would often deny half of a group or charge extremely expensive cover for guys so that they could fit more polo-loving dudes name Trevor inside.

It became clear that the tribe needed a location, we needed to take back Sundays and put it in the hands of those who deserved it most. So a few of the party masters of Chicago decided it was time for something new, something that was created “For Industry By Industry,” where all the homies could be together and get drunk on a Monday morning in peace.  They needed to find a location near Bull & Bear that was open late and had a long standing history of good business with the Industry peeps.

-ENTER SPYBAR-

This is the new promise land for Sunday late night antics. The party starts at midnight and is staffed with some of the most trusted faces in the Industry. The music is not the usual format that you would hear at Spybar, as almost every genre will be played throughout the night. From the homies around every corner to the no-bullshit attitude of the establishment itself, it’s an amazing thing when everyone can come together as a family. You can see it people’s eyes and hear it in their laughter. It is safe to say, this new Sunday party really brings life back to the quote “It doesn’t matter where you are, but who you are with.”
