I’m rarely bored with new sounds coming out of the UK. In this instance we’re witnessing the birth of a new movement out of South London in the form of Hip-Hop/Electronic duo Indigo Palace. They’ve been making music together for quite some time. You can truly hear the musical confidence and lyrical intention that only come from years of practice and persistence.

FIVERS/GOLD is the first single/video from the duo, taken from their debut project ‘DIAL.’ Indigo Palace is made up of Dee ’93 and J Francis, who both have equal input into the artistic direction that they’re trying to achieve. They both “bring the vibe” on this one and I believe they’re serving up some of the most interesting sounding Hip-Hop to come out of the UK.

The two-part song begins with bumpin, synth-heavy track “FIVERS” and at the 2:11 mark the track takes a 180 and turns into the chill track “GOLD.” Both songs are great from a lyrical and production standpoint, creating smart choices in how they play off one another. With their vocals front and center, the beat can live comfortably in the back for you to sway back and forth to. For us, this is the type of progressive sound that gets us going and inspires us to do what we do here. Do yourself a favor and follow them at the links below, you’ll want to keep up with these dudes.
