Iconic Berlin nightclub Berghain is opening up another dancefloor in addition to the legendary main floor and Panorama Bar. The German night club, which books acts like Len Faki, Ben Klock, Marcel Detmann, and more, opened in 2004. The club is known for its strict door policy but is widely regarded as one of the most prominent techno clubs in Europe and in the world.
The new dance floor is being dubbed as Säule, which means “pillar” in German. While the location of the floor remains a mystery, Resident Advisor reports that a ground-floor area underneath the Berghain dance floor has recently been closed for construction.
The dance floor will officially open on Thursday, March 23rd with help from Alessandro Adriani, Deena Abdelwahed and Natalia Escobar. Meanwhile, Berghain will host sets from Dis Fig, Illum Sphere and Laura Clock on the main floor.
