Letting down our walls is one of the hardest things as a human being. To truly open up the deepest parts of our soul with another person means that we are a real person. We struggle to do this. We stumble and trip over our words. We get confused sometimes with what we wanted to convey in the first place and we end up getting lost all over again. To put into words how we’re experiencing life and how it changes and moves us in the myriad of ways that it does is such a challenge. Maybe it’s because there aren’t always the right words and maybe the right words don’t exist and will never exist. Some things are truly so magnificent or terrifying to the human brain that no words or combination of words would ever do it justice. That’s ok. That’s why there’s music, a universal language!

Well, today, we have got a bittersweet tune for you from our friend On Planets, a part of the degrade.LA collective. We’ve featured his music here before and we’re stoked whenever he’s got something new for us! This time around he decided to put up a cool spin on the track “Emoji” from Pegboard Nerds. With subtle melodies and synth keys in the background, the song takes off after the one minute build and a steady beat with solid breaks evokes a sense of readiness and adventure.
