Empire Of The Sun: freaky funky fucking fantastic. Mark Lower: young, inventive, fresh.  Now add the two together for a equation that should never be divided. Empire of the Sun recently released their sophomore album Ice on the Dune in June and was a huge hit with fans and succumbed new fans to dive in to the Empire world, and be blown away. (I mean honestly, have you ever seen them live? They put on a performance that is unlike anything else. Insane costume changes, alien/monster dancers, props out of this world, and rockstar attitudes accompanied by electric live music) Mark Lower took the already beloved song “Ill Be Around” and extended the length by slowing down the track a bit and layering in electro knocking rhythms that take this futuristic song even deeper in space. “Ill Be Around” is already a dreamy track but Mark Lowers waved his magical wand onto the song, or shall I say synthesizer,  and took it from dreamy pop to electro trance.

Mark Lower, only the prime age of 18, has already graced itunes top 25 list with his track “The Wheel” with Ophelie Cassey in the dance category. His sweet spot is remixing music verses producing his own, which is clear here with Empire of the Sun. He delicately takes a great song and transforms it into something else while leaving the skeleton, that people clearly already love. Needing your Empire freak show/amazeballs show fix?
