Star Slinger is back with another killer single titled “Certi,” the follow-up to his recent release “Hottest Day In New York.”

Apparently, Certi is UK slang for Certified. Who knew?! (Ok, maybe some of you, my bad.) The single has a great vibe and a legit message. Here’s what he had to say about the track:

“The break’s lyrics (although stream of conscious) seem to be about learning to live better. To be more welcoming of people, no matter their intentions and to spare being anti all the time. To be less pessimistic. To remain optimistic through a stoic lens. We cannot control the world, but we can control how we react to it & we must react well. To treat everyone with respect & to be better. Forget being Anti, let’s all be more Certi.”

We couldn’t agree more!

The single is an upbeat, dancefloor-ready, Summertime tune.

Sonically, it’s a serene mix of steel drums mixed through Wah-Wah pedals, coupled with smooth, resonating synths. I can’t wait to cruise around the city or kick it by the pool with this!
