St. Lucia has had a stellar year as the NY-based artist has not only released a debut EP to rave reviews, but has also pumped out great tracks with talented groups such as The Knocks and Icona Pop. We were especially big fans of his soaring, trop-pop single “Elevate“, which took our “soul and spirals it straight into the clouds.” Leveraging those good vibes emanating from “Elevate” and ‘elevating’ (I couldn’t resist) them to a new level, Brooklyn’s Great Good Fine Ok transforms the single into bouncy, summertime jam that’s helping thaw Chicago’s current deep freeze. Full of shimmering synth work and Jean-Philip Grobler’s crisp vocals, Great Good Fine Ok took a risk remixing such a stand-out track and has been rewarded with a flawless production in return. Oh, and that breakdown at 2:45 is sublime – just sayin’.
