Amy Winehouse and Tupac now have something in common; besides both having passed on, both artists have released albums posthumously. “Like Smoke” will be released on the late Amy Winehouse’s third album entitled Lioness: Hidden Treasures, due out on December 5th. The album will be “a collection of previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions of existing classics as well as a couple of brand new Amy compositions” and is being put together by friends of Amy’s, including Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi. “Like Smoke” appears to be the only track on the album that was unreleased up to this point, and it comes from the 2008 recording sessions following her hugely successful Back to Black album. The track maintains Amy’s soulful, smoky vocals, but takes a backseat to Nas’ two verses, who spits with almost seer-like visions about recessions and protesting on Wall Street. Check it out below.

***UPDATE*** Since writing this, another unreleased track has surfaced on the interweb. This time it is a reworking of the popular 60’s doo-wop song “Our Day Will Come,” originally performed by Ruby & The Romantics. Listen to it via the YouTube video below.
