It’s been nearly twenty years since the birth of rock’s mangy little  cousin “grunge” in the soggy northwest city of Seattle, WA. With it, the public received one of rock’s greatest bands, Nirvana, changing the scene of music forever. Now, Nirvana (or more likely, their record execs) are setting free a deluxe and super-deluxe re-releases of Nevermind, including never before heard demos, original tracks, and live performances. This is gold for all you Kurt Cobain fans out there. Now we get a little taste of what the public has been missing out on all these years. Check out the previously unreleased demos “Breed” and “On A Plain” as well as the live performance of “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” Enjoy.

“Breed’ An early recording of the song. Recorded at Smart Studios, 4/1990. Originally titled ‘Imodium’, this version has a much heavier overall sound to the one eventually featured on ‘Nevermind’. It is said to have been originally written about Tad Doyle’s (lead singer of fellow Washington band ‘Tad’) diarrhoea whilst on an early tour with Nirvana.”
