You think you’re someone of intrigue. As you stare down a bevy of buoys carrying your secrets you’ve sunk in the bottom of the Bay, you can certainly convince yourself of that. Because all that’s left to share with the teeming minds trawling the cityscape behind you are the parts you’ve hand selected. Gone are the pox and the fuck ups and the stains on your sweetness. Presented before everyone is some steaming pile of slick charisma.

You’re not real. There’s no weakness in you. But without weakness you also have no strength. Punch you and you’re hitting styrofoam, baby. 1, 2, 3, hole, hole, hole and a knockout punch in that facade in any fight for your emotional life. Sure, as Dan Croll’s track explores, carrying those buoys on your back might maroon you and weigh you down for the rest to see, lost in the sea of people moving with the tides; but eventually, they’ll fade. And having nothing to hide, having those little scars gives the fucking sexiest confidence. Own your baggage, yo.

And can I just say quickly how supreme Monsieur Adi’s work is on this track? It relishes in the gravitas of the track while amplifying every bit of emotional flourish to a grand effect. Easily his best remix to date, easily.
