Swedish electro house producer Garmiani may have just released something that will be one of the standout tracks of this year. The tune is called “Zaza” and it’s quite literally a furious collection of sounds. Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak have picked up the single, and it’s out today, having already seen some impressive support from both DJs and fans alike. If you’re already familiar with Garmiani, you will have probably heard his “Rumble” EP which charted remarkably on Beatport last year.

Back to this single in question however, and “Zaza” is a hugely dominant offering. Whilst the opening fits the fairly standard mould of pumping beat, where the drop takes you is a completely new direction. With a strong melody beginning to take hold, lead synths begin to become prominent before… the drop. Now, in electronic dance music, the drop is always something to talk about. In this case though, it almost beats you senseless. A wave of brass storms in with an infectious hook and fuels “Zaza” to a climax before it finally begins to subside.This is nosebleed electro, but with some real intricacy on the tune’s components and expert layering.
