After spending considerable time working on their breath-taking live shows and performances, UK seven-piece electronic act Submotion Orchestra have now just released their next album. “Colour Theory”, which has come out through Ninja Tune sister label Counter Records, is another stunning foray through sounds and experiences.
The group has gone for a mostly electronic vibe with this LP, allowing each tune to brilliantly alone or as part of the collection. Vocalists are used once again to add a certain something to specific tracks, and the best example of this is the folk-inspired “Needs” ft. Andrew Ashong. Other favourites include “In Gold” and the gorgeous “Jaffa” ft. Still.
