I hadn’t heard much of Bright Eyes before I began doing some research into some of the Lollapalooza bands. But what I have listened to, I like. American indie-rock band Bright Eyes was founded by singer/songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst and consists of multi-instrumentalist and producer Mike Mogis, trumpet and piano player Nate Waclott, and a long list of collaborators mainly drawn from Omaha’s indie music scene. Their albums encompass everything from folk to indie rock to electronica. You have to be in the right mood to listen to Bright Eyes, as their music tends to be a bit of a slower and more emotionally driven. Think Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, and Modest Mouse.
