These guys just landed in my mailbox, and I’m really digging their sound. Stereo Crowd’s music is fresh, upbeat and revitalizing. Something a little different in the sometimes bleak landscape. With a diverse mix, the group covers a broad range of genres from funk and jazz to hip-hop. They sound similar to The Black Keys, The Brand New Heavies, and old Black Eyed Peas.

Stereo Crowd is crafting the new sound of urban alternative music. It’s a sound for the sophisticated, cultured, educated and open-minded urban-ite. It’s a sound that combines the emotional connection of rock, with the physical connection of hip-hop, all put together with the sonic sensibilities of Soul and R&B.

Check out the video for their first single “I Got It,” off their forthcoming EP as well “Up and Away” below. The video starts with some talking, but the music gets going around the 1 minute mark. I hope to hear more from these guys soon.
