Recently, I had the opportunity to shoot Taking Back Sunday’s recent tour that was supported by Epitaph Records’ bands The Menzingers3 and Letlive.

The Menzingers took me back to simpler times. Where all that matters is Punk Rock. The band does not rely on flashy stage antics or outfits to catch the crowds eyes, they use music as their weapon and they use it effectively. I really did not know anything about these guys except a couple songs, but when the crowd is singing along through every song I was blown away.
 

Next up was Letlive. Few bands put on a show as good as Letlive. Their energy is infectious and there are so few words to describe where each member of the band takes themselves during their performance. Every member is all over the place with energy, showing the passion and energy that they put into their music. It was an absolutely pleasure getting to see them jam through songs like “Banshee”, “Rengade ’86”, and “Mother”.

Last up was Taking Back Sunday, a band I have shot once before, but this time around I was indoors shooting them and with a unique lighting setup. Nothing too special about these guys, they’ve been around the block since I was growing up, so it’s just a full circle moment to see these guys, ‘all grown up.’
