It’s a very exciting time of the year as athletes across the globe are gearing up for the 2012 London Olympics. And the this years Olympics wouldn’t be complete without an anthem to rock out to while athletes walk into the stadium, proudly waving their countries flag to Muse. The rock groups track “Survival” has been officially selected by the London Olympic committee to represent the games for 2012. It’s an interesting choice, as the song doesn’t really capture the glory of winning an Olympic gold in my book. I’m sure others will disagree, but I don’t care. On the other hand, I am digging the subtle hints of Queen that seem to be woven into the intro of the track. “Survival” is off Muse’s forthcoming album entitled The 2nd Law, which is set for a September 18 release date.
