After bringing you tons of fresh releases from Chicago-based producers like Manic Focus & Louis the Child, you should trust me when I tell you that Stratus is a name you’ll need to know sooner rather than later. Having been a fan of this producer since the days of “You Don’t Wanna See Me Get Evil” and his remix of “You Ain’t No DJ,” I was caught completely off guard by the Goonsqaud EP’s striking resemblance to some of his earlier works. “Buck” is more fearsome than a grizzly bear unloading an AK-47 and the title track is a no-nonsense electro house eradicator! If you enjoy songs from big names like Zomboy, MUST DIE!, Feed Me, & Schoolboy, then this is one release you cannot afford to overlook. Support awesome local music, because we say so!
