[THE DAILY SWIM] Flosstradamus – “Rebound” (Twice As Nice Remix)
Welcome to The Daily Swim, a running series on The Sights and Sounds. As a daily swimmer, water has always served as a dichotomy to my psyche – wholly and unswervingly calming in it’s vast simplicity yet at the same time able to harness and create massive amounts of energy. Which is exactly the type of music The Daily Swim will feature – no fuss posts with tracks from great artists that serve as both calming and energizing to get you through the deep end of your day.
Contemplate your actions. Wall. Turn. Repeat. Is what you’re doing getting you anywhere? Wall. Turn. Repeat. Despite all your efforts will you just fall into your old ways? Wall. Turn. Repeat. Rebound. It’s funny the types of things that float through my head in the shallow lap pool. Time to myself has never been a scary thing – in fact, the opposite. I embrace the solitude, allowing my thoughts to wander and play vulnerable, if only to myself. Wall. Turn. Repeat. The repetitiveness is both calming and frustrating. The lilting guitars in this Twice As Nice remix keeps me calm, though, the vocals mimicking the echoes of that lonely lap pool. As the synths reverberate on so does my stroke, keeping time with the chilled current of “Rebound”. Wall. Turn. Repeat.
Now it’s your turn.
Play. Listen. Repeat.
