Southend-on-Sea’s quintessential English indie collective The Horrors are releasing their fifth album, coincidentally titled V, later next month September 22 via Wolftone/Caroline. After already unveiling the record’s lead single “Machine,” the band has continued its follow-up to 2014’s Luminous with the record’s closing track “Something To Remember Me By.”

Brimming with euphoria, “Something to Remember Me By,”  leaves its listeners in a blissfully fulfilled state, rightfully placed at the conclusion of the forthcoming record.

Previously in a press release the band promised a diverse record and that V them refusing “to stand still.” Lead singer Faris Badwan put it in the press release as. “It is a risk. But life isn’t much fun without risk. It’s the antithesis of being creative if you know what you’re going to be doing every time.”

Keyboardist Tom Cowan added, “It’s natural, if you do see yourself as an artist, to progress and not play it safe. Bowie pre-empted the modern condition of not being able to stay in one place for very long, and I get frustrated with bands who stay still. Because then it does become a career.”
