[CONCERT REVIEW] Feed Me Lit Up The Aragon

It wasn’t all that long ago that Feed Me brought his Psychedelic Journey Tour (along with his infamous teeth) through our hometown of Chicago. Leading up to this highly anticipated performance, I had some minor concerns about The Aragon’s ability to bring in a packed house. Having said that, the turnout for this event was much more impressive than what I had initially envisioned. With names like Delta Heavy (my personal favorite set from the night), Luminox, & Nadastrom also included on the billing, this was one bass music blowout that all attendees would surely not soon forget.

My ultimate highlight of the evening came when Feed Me went back-to-back with original tracks like “Cloudburn” & “Rat Trap.” The former is my favorite dubstep tune from this producer and the latter is my favorite trap song to date, period. I was slightly bummed out that “Relocation” never made its way into his set (especially considering that it wasn’t featured in his last Chicago show at Spring Awakening either), but I guess that beggars can’t be choosers. All in all, this memorable night definitely reminded me why this artist is often regarded as one of EDM’s most treasured talents. Between his superior sound and stellar stage production, Feed Me consistently delivers an experience unlike any other.
