Although we might be counting down the days until winter has completely taken over the Midwest, it feels more like the first days of spring with The Knocks‘ bouncy new remix of The 1975‘s “Girls.” Adding a bit of urgency to the track, the NY duo do what they do best, outfitting the single with funky synth stabs and a shimmering disco flair that make it irresistibly dance-y. With remixes of artists such as HAIM, Of Monsters and Men, Grouplove, Foster the People and Two Door Cinema Club under their belt, one begins to wonder if there is a track out there that The Knocks can’t transform into a dance-ready disco jam. We think not. Check out The Knocks’ remix below along with the original version of “Girls” for your comparison.
