Unplugged – what it should mean is that it doesn’t work. No electricty = no power = no sound. But in the case of The Bloody Beetroots and Theophilus London, it means an extremely upbeat and highly addictive live take on their single “All The Girls” – it just works. It’s exactly what you would look for in a live band performance, incorporating some big band jazz sounds, bouncy instrumentation, backup singers and Theophilus’ smooth-as-butter vocals. Normally you’d see the masked Bloody Beetroots tearing it up on stage, thrashing around to the sounds of high energy electro-rock. But this live take of “All The Girls” has not only brought out a softer side of the musicians, but has also brought out my love for the group all over again. Check it out below.
