Putting a stamp on the brilliant “These Ships” from Toronto duo Madison Violet this week is producer Matt James – who does something pretty special with it. Seeing as its original creators have recently signed a deal with Ultra Music, it only seems right that the remix is released through the platform.
James doesn’t try to stray too far from the gentle quality of the original, but ensures that listeners will soon be tapping their feet. With a sweetly infectious beat structuring those gliding pop vocals and twangs of guitars, “These Ships” becomes even more enticing.
