Cavego just added a tropical spin to Sonny Alven’s original hit, “Backseat Lovin.’”

In February, Norwegian electronic producer Sonny Alven took us on a ride with his sultry, retro daydream of a track “‘Backseat Lovin.’” The track, written with Stockholm-based songwriter, was an homage to the mid 90’s. Its slow and elegant beat captured our attention then, and thanks to Cavego, is back on our radar now.

Fellow Norwegian producer Cavego, known for tracks like “Red Light (feat. Arielle)“and “All The Other Girls (feat. Leon Frick)” just remixed Alven’s “Backseat Lovin’” into a just as sexy, but slightly more club-friendly must-listen. The tropical, upbeat spin of Cavego’s dance-worthy remix adds a tasteful, Nordic nu-disco flair to the already stellar original, and does so without compromising the integrity of the vocals. Citing artists like Justice, Daft Punk, and Eric Prydz as influences, this remix is a fresh twist on Alven’s creation.

This is not the first time Cavego and Sonny Alven have collaborated. In 2015, the the track, “Shallow Waters” was released, along with artist Jarand. Years later it seems, especially with this new remix, the talent has not left the waters of Norway.
