Welcome to The Daily Swim, a new feature on The Sights and Sounds to bring you as much new music as we can. As a daily swimmer, water has always served as a dichotomy to my psyche – wholly and unswervingly calming in it’s vast simplicity yet at the same time able to harness and create massive amounts of energy. Which is exactly the type of music The Daily Swim will feature – no fuss posts with tracks from great producers that serve as both calming and energizing to get you through the deep end of your day.

Beautiful, dance infused electro swing, how I love thee! So happy I’m starting to see more and more of this genre make it’s way into the spotlight (see Parov Stelar and Medium Troy) and to help out I’ve posted two tracks for The Daily Swim today. Both come from UK producer Odjbox who injects some much loved muted trumpet, saxaphones, and generally great throwback samples with some driving bass and electro melodies. I could listen to this all day, and in fact, I will. So enjoy both “Captain Nemo” – which samples horns from Lucho Bermúdez and vocals from James Mason in “20.000 Leagues Under the Sea” – and the newer single “Bin Thinkin'”. Have a good swim.
