Marian Hill released a music video for their sassy, new track “Differently,” fresh off their upcoming sophomore album “Unusual.”
The Philadelphia based duo crafted a track that is gently hypnotic with its simple yet bouncy instrumentals. However, the song is truly driven by the bold words coming out Sam Gongol’s mouth.
By listening to the lyrics, the song comes off as a clap-back to an ex, but in their own words, “Differently” is so much more than that. It’s “about empowering a friend and helping them see how dope they are.”
When you watch the music video and digest the words being spoken, the meaning behind the piece becomes clear. The video portrays a room in which Sam Gongol and Jeremy Lloyd are leisurely sitting. The room then becomes filled with many unique women one by one. The video cuts to each of women’s faces, each beautiful in their individual way, and shows off their fierce confidence.
So if you’re in need of a little confidence booster today, let Marian Hill speak to you by watching the music video to “Differently.” And while you’re at it, don’t forget to pre-order the upcoming album Unusual!
