Deep House is all the rage at the moment, particularly in the US. Something that is always a danger when a genre is suddenly propelled into the limelight is that a multitude of releases will get churned out that lack creativity or individuality. So, upon hearing the latest release from German producer Modul Kollektiv, I was genuinely excited.

Whilst he is admittedly an under the radar artist for the time being, the subtly delicious sounds of “Farbenfroh”, which dropped yesterday, will surely entice many more towards his sound. The track is a curious and progressive journey, exploring intervals of bass bumps and mesmerizing trickles of vocals. Out now on Dirty Soul Recordings, which has just undergone a revamp, you should give “Farbenfroh” a few minutes of your time. You won’t regret it.
