Here’s another great release by my newly discovered like-minded music buddies from Brazil at Secret Tune. Thank you Lucas and Rafael for making my morning wonderful, and kicking off my weekend with great vibes. Life is amazing with good friends, great strangers, loving fam, and quality FUGGIN’ JAMZ!

Classy dance music is something that isn’t always easy to find. I search for it all the time and only stumble onto a handful of pure gems. I feel that many producers are ‘quantity producers’, failing because their intent is speed, while slamming their sound “INTO THE RED” with quantity, not skillfully crafted quality. “Secret Tune Recommends 002” is a carefully crafted mix, touched by sirens and bass kicking beasts. This new release is deep and subtle, and emphasizes on soft tones with a minimal tech feel. Though minimal in nature, the flow keeps that bounce in your step and gives your life groove. However, achieving this warmth that I love while keeping that grooooveh bounce style is no simple thing to do. With the nice heavy in/out flow of the synthy bass lines keeping the energy flowing, all wrapped up in deep, mildly transposed vocals (with a bit of “gangsta” as well), Secret Tunes is ON POINT.

The constant flow of tribal bongos and congos adds a fun, primitive angst to the bounce. The shaker style and air compressed-sounding hi-hats pull you along as if you were on a train, chugging ever closer to the next break – which in turn makes you eagerly yearn for the next drop of kicks, bass, and hats again. While I vibe out to this, I can’t help but get the feeling of floating on into the groove of happiness. So please, give this a listen and send me your thoughts in the comments below.
