Venerated IDM producer Squarepusher composes the start up track for the new Super Nintendo retro console, Super Nt.

Super Nt is a new system by Analogue that’s let’s you play games/cartridges from Nintendo’s 16-bit era in 1080p and wireless controllers. They released the start-up boot featuring visuals by video game designer Phil Fish and of course, audio by Squarepusher.

Talk about a match made in heaven. Squarepusher’s synths and breakbeat tracks meshes perfectly with the fast paced sounds that were so prevalent in SNES games.

Squarepusher also soundtracks an updated version of the 90s game Super Turrican. Listen to both below:
