Welcome to The Daily Swim, a running series on The Sights and Sounds. As a daily swimmer, water has always served as a dichotomy to my psyche – wholly and unswervingly calming in it’s vast simplicity yet at the same time able to harness and create massive amounts of energy. Which is exactly the type of music The Daily Swim will feature – no fuss posts with tracks from great artists that serve as both calming and energizing to get you through the deep end of your day.

Feel the energy as the waves roll in and out, a continuous flow of movement that cultivates a sense of wonder and mystery as the never ending waxing and waning of our oceans provide an encompassing rhythm in which we can lose ourselves. I’ve always said I’ve never felt more at peace then when I’m floating on my surfboard, bobbing up and down as the waves come in seemingly balanced and measured in sets of three by some Higher Power. Kicks N Licks brings those concepts to life for me in their new single “Lost & Found” – a track that echoes my sentiments on travel and life, dripping with flowy synths and a laid back groove that hit so close to my personality. I like to get lost, and sometimes it’s the best way to find your own path in life.
