Every month, we’ll take a look back at the top 10 trance tracks that shook our world from the previous 4 weeks. This is a no fuss curation of some of the biggest sounds from around the world in the trance scene – enjoy and dig in!
The Top Trance June 2017 – Tracks 1-5
1. Adam Ellis – Blu-82
Two of my favorite tracks are from Adam Ellis, both released on Kearnage: “Napalm Poet” and “Agent Orange”. Now he’s back with a follow up to both of them with “Blu-82”. Monster arps, plucks, a driving bassline, and huge vocals fit Adam’s signature sound.
2. Tempo Giusto – Burn
Tempo Giusto has been on fire lately with release after release. This latest is an absolute tech trance banger with Tempo’s signature pitch bend synths.
3. TrancEye – Black Mirror
What a melodic pad breakdown! If you’re into uplifting, this is a great track for you. Great rises and falls with great synths all around.
4. Jordan Suckley – Droid (F.G. Noise remix)
F.G. Noise remixed one of Jordan Suckley’s classics, Droid. I always enjoy when an old favorite of mine gets reworked/ remixed a few years later. I find it to be a nice, fresh way to remind us of those old gems.
5. Cold Blue – On The Outside
I really enjoyed “On The Outside” as a grimy, progressive track. Cold Blue did a great job with that bassline and overall composition which really takes you on a journey.
The Top Trance June 2017 – Tracks 6-10
6. Waio & Avalon- Shiva
One word for this track: trippy. It delivers on the psychadelic in psychadelic trance. Now that psy is coming into the mainstream, it’s always a challenge to balance something most people
7. Chris Schweizer – Atom
Chris Schweizer is another name you’ve probably seen more often lately. He’s delivering on that Argentine driving tech trance like Heatbeat and others. I love how the acid bass on this track drives the whole thing hard.
8. Gareth Emery feat. Christina Novelli – Concrete Angel (ReOrder remix)
Here’s another one of those classic tracks with a brand new remix. ReOrder brings it hard during the builds and takes it back down with the iconic breakdown.
9. Ton TB – Electronic Malfunction (Paul Denton Remix)
Oh Outburst. How I love you. Paul Denton’s remix of Electronic Malfunction is a great transition track from progressive into tech trance or tech trance into psy. Versatile to the max.
10. Jaytech & Judah – Boss Fight
The synths on this track are HUGE! Despite my preference for tech and psy, I really enjoy Jaytech’s work and this is no exception. Epic breakdown just like you’d expect on a track called “Boss Fight”.
