[EXPERIMENTAL] The New Flying Lotus Movie Looks Absolutely Disgusting

If his music videos and album covers are any indication of his artistic preference, you know Flying Lotus has a sick fascination for the macabre. He channels this passion in his latest film Kuso, which was featured at the Sundance Film festival this past January. Flylo one upped himself on this one —the movie was so vile some viewers left the theater mid-screening.

In a nutshell, Kuso (Japanese for “shit”) is a series of interconnected short films featuring the lives of mutant inhabitants of a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. Superficially this sounds benign. But all of a sudden you’re hit with anus bugs, threesomes with talking boils, and the never-ending flow of bodily secretions. No amount of bleach in your eyes can undo the damage that’s been done.

On the bright side, the film has much more to offer than it’s unprecedented shock value. Kuso features original tracks from Flylo and like-mined artists such as Aphex Twin and Akira Yamaha. It also hosts a slew of comedians to help you laugh through it all, including Hannibal Buress, Donnell Rawlings, and Anders Holm (from Workaholics).
