[SUMMER/REGGAE] Major Lazer ft. Chronixx – “Where I Come From (Get Free Rhythm)”
It feels as though everything I’ve been listening to recently reminds me of summer. That could just be that I’m so over the wintery stay-indoors vibes that we’ve been hearing from artists over the last 5 months, or that I’m so ready for the warm weather that I can’t think of anything else. And there’s hardly a better artist to get you warmed up for the summertime than Major Lazer with their instant reggae hit “Where... Read More
[BASS] Flux Pavilion – “OneTwoThree (Make Your Body Wanna)”
From Flux Pavilion‘s forthcoming Blow The Roof EP comes “OneTwoThree (Make Your Body Wanna),” a massive preview of what the UK producer has in store for us. Due out January 28th via Circus/Big Beat Records, you can expect some big room anthemic beats to be flowing through your subs as Flux is hardly known to take it easy on the decks. Throwing down some hard-line swagger bass with “OneTwoThree” this track will definitely... Read More
[DUBSTEP/HIPHOP] Flux Pavilion – “Do or Die” ft. Childish Gambino
It’s Friday. And it’s doomsday, so they say. So let’s kick this weekend off with a little noise destruction of our own. Flux Pavilion just dropped this massive dubstep track titled “Do Or Die” featuring lyricism from Childish Gambino. Sounds like a crazy collab, but dubstep has always had some roots in hip-hop and this track is probably one of the best examples of the two genres working together harmoniously (destructively?).... [DUBSTEP] Flux Pavilion – “Blow The Roof”
Massive new dubstep banger from Flux Pavilion in the form of “Blow The Roof” off his upcoming album due out next year. This is a rip from Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show and should keep you satisfied for now. Enjoy! Read More
[REGGAE/ELECTRO] Major Lazer ft. Flux Pavilion – “Jah No Partial”
Major Lazer is back, sans Switch, with a massive new track featuring non other than UK dubstep sensation, Flux Pavilion, with “Jah No Partial.” Part Jamaican roots reggae, part electro infused chords, and topped with a bit of dubstep makes for one banging track. Sampling Johnny Osbourne’s ”Mr. Marshall,” Diplo tries hard to bring that original Major Lazer sound, but it still feels like something is missing without Switch on the... Read More
[DUBSTEP/ELECTRO] Flux Pavilion – “Daydreamer” ft. Example
Sick new collaboration from dirty electro producer Flux Pavilion and British rapper Example. “Daydreamer” is a great mix of vocals and hard hitting bass that keeps the track ebbing in and out with soulful energy. The video is classic rage session tape from various performances. Nothing too special here, so just close your eyes and take in the sounds. If you’re one of the lucky ones down at SXSW, make sure you catch Flux’s... Read More
[NEWS] 2012 Lollapalooza Lineup Leaked
Chicago’s biggest music festival, Lollapalooza, is still more than five months away, but we now have part of the leaked 2012 lineup thanks to one festival insider. Over the weekend, someone in Lollapalooza’s camp took to Twitter under the handle @LollaLeaks and began sharing information that was supposed to be kept under wraps until Spring. Apparently this is the same person who leaked last year’s lineup as well, and from what... Read More
[DISCO/DUBSTEP] Flux Pavilion and Doctor P – “Superbad”
If you’re a a fan of dubstep, the names Flux Pavilion and Doctor P won’t be anything new to you. What will be new, however, is the sound that comes from their most recent collaboration, “Superbad.” While still keeping to the dubstep roots, the two producers have created a track that feels like it comes straight out of some retro 70′s film about futuristic pimps. Yeah, that sums it up pretty well. Check the song out below... Read More
[DUBSTEP] Example – Midnight Run (Flux Pavilion Remix)
I just wanted to get you this dope track by one of UK’s finest dubstep producers, Flux Pavilion. He does an excellent job with Example’s “Midnight Run,” reworking it into an upbeat electro/dubstep banger. It’s definitely got some great great synth work in the there, and the syncopated dubstep drop definitely has me wanting more from Flux. Enjoy. DJ Fresh ft. Sian Evans “Louder” – Official video and remixes
I just stumbled upon this song/video by UK based artist DJ Fresh and I only wish I could have heard it earlier. This song is meant to be played LOUD!, as the name implies. The video is pretty sick as well, I really wish I could pull some of those tricks without managing a compound fracture in my skull. The remixes are all amazingly done as well. Flux Pavilion and Doctor P crush it, turning the the original version into a bigger dubstep monster.... Read More
