If there’s one thing that separates a good movie from a great movie, hands down it’s the soundtrack. A great soundtrack helps weave the storyline into our limbic system, stirring our emotions with every note. From drama to sadness to joy, there is no question music is central to good film. The worlds of Hollywood and music smash together again here, though perhaps in a different way, in the rolling new single from UK producer/DJ Special Features and NY-based Ansolo, perhaps better known as Ansel Elgort, who starred in the 2013 horror remake of Carrie as well as 2014’s Divergent. In “Unite,” they merge their own unique styles for a pumping big-room smash that features volcano-erupting bass, alien spaceship synths, and heroic, star-studded drops (catch my attempt at blockbuster analogies there?).

“We had a lot of fun making this one. Ansolo had been sending his ideas across for a while and when he sent me an early version of this drop I knew it was something I wanted to work on. I sent back some ideas for the breakdown and from there we both carried on working on it, eventually making it what it is now!” says Special Features on the collaboration effort.
