Dubstep has officially gone ‘commercial’. I know you’ve probably heard the dirty drops plenty of times on TV by now, but only a company with klout like Coca Cola can really integrate such a generally underground genre into mainstream success. Taking the viral nature of EDM, combining it with the virility of a YouTube video sensation, and throwing in the super talented Adventure Club has put Coke in a whole new marketing bracket for me. For those of you who are wondering, the track is “Do I See Color” and the dance phenoms are Nonstop (Marquese Scott – the talent behind the amazing dubstep video of “Pumped Up Kicks”) and iGlide (Julius Chisolm) from dance crew Remote Kontrol. Check out the full version of “Do I See Color” by Adventure Club below. Enjoy.
