Just over a month ago we reviewed a single from a completely unknown electro group, Kid Arkade. Despite being completely under the radar, Ultra Music had snapped them up to release their debut offering – so they obviously saw some real potential. Now, just a matter of weeks later, the act is about to drop “Iceberg”, again on the US platform. I’d say they have one more release in them before (hopefully) they will reveal something about the mystery artists behind the brand – there is genuinely no information to found on these guys/girls at the present time.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t affect the quality of their production, which has plenty of strength and personality. “Iceberg” takes a melodic lead, and one which is comprised of an addictive riff made of beeps and gargles. There’s no less grind to the bass line when the breakdown strikes, and its progressive style creates quite a stunning atmosphere. Whilst obviously it will take a handful more of tracks to determine their signature sound, but Kid Arkade are off to a flying start.
