Summer is right around the bend and it already seems to be filling up with some amazing music acts, booked all over the city. From the massive EDM line up of Spring Awakening to the Underground, there is no doubt that Chicago is going to pop off these next few months. I did a full article earlier this year on the return of #Afterlife to Wicker Park, occupying the newly renovated historic venue Red Dog. Since then this weekly event has only grown encompassing all sorts of characters and more importantly bigger artists…
This May #Afterlife has arguably one of the biggest artists they have booked to date scheduled to play. Solidisco will take the decks on May 21st at Annex Night Club in Wicker Park. These two New York Native DJs came together to showcase a fusion with one of the most widely accepted genres: Disco.
Without Disco there would be no House. Without House there would be no EDM. This is just a simple fact and with out #Afterlife there would be no underground house venue with no dress code, that you can “come as you are” and “be who are” in Chicago. So if you appreciate House music and all its niches, be sure to check out this unique party EVERY Saturday at Annex Night Club in Wicker Park from 10pm-5am.
