Gaining a solid following over the last few years, Orlando based producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Kaelin Ellis brings it up a notch with his new album release The Funk Will Prevail. The fourteen track album seamlessly blurs the lines between hip-hop, jazz, lo-fi, and electronica. Bringing in a host of collaborators, The Funk Will Prevail is a testament to Ellis’ work as a mega talented producer and musician.

The twenty three minute album truly encapsulates the meaning of funk. Deep atmospheric lo-fi beats are powerfully complemented by dexterous instrumentation. The Funk Will Prevail features a multitude of collaborations from the likes of Carrtoons, The Kount, and Rob Araujo.

Standout tracks include the sensational “Cats Groove” and “Get Right!” featuring emotive vocals from C.S. Armstrong.
