Flying Lotus may be the King of unpredictability.

I often ask myself, what the fuck is this guy going to do next?

There’s no doubt the producer has been busy since the 2014 release of You’re Dead!, but until now fans have been without new music for the last few years.

Following his debut film screening of Kuso at Sundance and quite literally perhaps the sickest film of modern time (maybe watch the trailer if you live under a rock) the producer released his take on David Lynch’s cult TV series “Twin Peaks” theme.

In a follow-up to this release Flying Lotus has released another new song titled ‘Night Grows Pale’. Following suit in the producer’s knack for unpredictability he’s flipped and sampled Queen’s song “White Queen (As It Began),” off the British rock group’s 1974 album Queen II.

Could this recent activity be a sign new music is on the way?

Per postings on the Indieheads subreddit, the producer mentioned at his recent Fortress Festival performance fans should expect new material soon.

The timing may be just right…here at The Sights and Sounds we certainly hope it is.

LISTEN TO NIGHT GROWS PALE:

While you’re at it, pay your respects to the legends.
