At the end of July, the effervescent psych rocker Ty Segall surprised fans with an unannounced EP.

Fried Shallots, as it was dubbed, was Segall’s sizzling output thrown in with a new batch of spices. In turn,  Fried Shallots brought forth a flavorful fruition of work. For this time, Segall’s tunes were met with more melodic and mellow choice of instrumentals. Now, it’s with Segall’s latest deliverance in mind that “Alta” arrives, the brand new “hometown jam” single from the prolific rocker.

Ty teamed up with his Freedom Band  — Emmett Kelly (guitar, vocals), Mikal Cronin (bass, vocals), Charles Moothart (drums) and Ben Boye (keyboards) – for the new single and it’s totally bonkers.
